The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and IEEE Entrepreneurship are offering a new opportunity for early-career engineers in Africa. The UNESCO-IEEE Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Early-Career Engineers in Africa is a five-day intensive program designed to equip participants with the skills they need to turn their scientific inventions into successful businesses.

Focus on Sustainable Development
Held under the auspices of the International Decade for Sciences for Sustainable Development (2024-2033), the bootcamp will focus on engineering solutions that address Africa’s unique challenges. This aligns with the 10th Africa Engineering Week, promoting innovation for a sustainable future.

Luanda, Angola to Host Bootcamp
The bootcamp will take place in Luanda, Angola, from September 9th to 13th, 2024. The program will consist of lectures, discussions, group activities, and one-on-one mentorship sessions.

Eligibility
The program is open to early-career engineers, including:
- Students enrolled in engineering programs
- Engineering practitioners
Applicants must be:
- Nationals and residents of an African country
- Below 35 years of age by December 31, 2024
- Available to participate in all aspects of the bootcamp, including two pre-bootcamp online sessions
