The U.S. Embassy Abidjan Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) is excited to announce the launch of its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. This initiative provides financial support for programs that foster stronger ties and a deeper understanding between the United States and Côte d’Ivoire.

Investing in Shared Values and Collaboration
PDS Abidjan seeks proposals for innovative projects that:
- Promote shared values: Programs that highlight the common ground between the U.S. and Côte d’Ivoire in areas like democracy, human rights, and economic opportunity will be prioritized.
- Strengthen bilateral cooperation: Initiatives that encourage collaboration across various sectors, such as education, entrepreneurship, and environmental protection, are highly encouraged.
- Bridge the knowledge gap: Projects that increase understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives in Côte d’Ivoire, while fostering appreciation for Ivorian culture in the U.S., will be given strong consideration.

Focus on Key Areas
The Embassy is particularly interested in proposals that address pressing issues in Côte d’Ivoire:
- Economic Empowerment: Projects that promote the development of the digital economy, gaming industry, tourism sector, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and innovation to drive sustainable economic growth.
- Empowering Voices: Initiatives that champion freedom of the press, ethical journalism practices, and increased access to information. Additionally, programs that enhance media and digital literacy and combat disinformation will be welcomed.
- Building Inclusive Societies: Projects that support youth engagement in the digital economy, promote gender equity and minority rights, and advocate for the inclusion of persons with disabilities.
Open to All
PDS Abidjan encourages applications from a diverse range of organizations and individuals. Registered non-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society organizations, from both the U.S. and Côte d’Ivoire are welcome to apply. Individuals with innovative ideas are also encouraged to participate.
