A new initiative aimed at propelling women-led businesses in Africa to new heights has been launched. The Enhancing Women Entrepreneurship in Africa (EWEA) program is set to provide critical support, mentorship, and resources to women entrepreneurs across the continent.

The program, a collaboration between [Partners involved, e.g., AFAWA, Seedstars, GrowthAfrica], aims to address the specific challenges faced by women in business. By offering mentorship from industry experts, capacity-building workshops, networking opportunities, and financial support, EWEA seeks to bridge the gender gap in entrepreneurship.

To qualify for the program, women-led small or medium-sized enterprises (WSMEs) must demonstrate strong business potential and a commitment to social impact. The program will provide participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to scale their businesses and create sustainable livelihoods.

Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Kenya, Malawi, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Angola, Mali, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Botswana, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Gambia, Namibia, Cape Verde, Mauritius and Nigeria.
