Telecom Egypt and 4iG Group Join Forces to Build Egypt’s Future-Proof Fibre Network
Telecom Egypt and Hungarian IT solutions provider 4iG Group are embarking on a transformative joint venture to construct a state-of-the-art fibre network in Egypt. This ambitious project, valued at $600 million over the next decade, aims to deliver high-speed internet access to millions of Egyptian households and businesses.

This collaboration aligns perfectly with Telecom Egypt’s “Digital Egypt” strategy, which is a cornerstone of Egypt’s Vision 2030 plan. The project directly supports the development of FTTH networks across the country, paving the way for a more digitally connected nation.
The fibre-optic infrastructure will not only provide high-speed internet access but will also significantly enhance Egypt’s mobile network capabilities. By connecting mobile sites with this modern infrastructure, the network will be better equipped to handle the ever-increasing demand for data and facilitate the large-scale deployment of 5G technology.

As Mohamed Nasr, CEO of Telecom Egypt, highlighted, this agreement will propel Egypt’s digital journey by establishing a “future-ready network” that can support not only 5G but also next-generation services like IoT and advanced enterprise networks.
For 4iG Group, this project represents a global expansion opportunity. Gellért Jászai, Chairman of 4iG Group, sees this partnership as a strategic move to showcase their expertise on an international scale. Beyond business interests, Jászai emphasized the project’s potential to create jobs, develop a skilled workforce, and ultimately improve the quality of life for Egyptians.
