10k2Startup Invites African Startups to Apply for Funding and Strategic Support

10k2Startup, an innovative initiative founded by Julius Nkansah Owusu-Kyerematen, head of multi-channel mid-market skills at Google, announces the launch of its second cycle of funding for African startups. The initiative aims to provide critical financial support ranging from US$10,000 to US$50,000, coupled with strategic guidance and network access to foster growth and scale.

Recognizing the challenges faced by early-stage ventures, 10k2Startup offers investments in exchange for equity stakes ranging from 15% to 25%. Its portfolio currently includes dynamic startups such as Homely, Nuelle Organics, and Green Tech, each solving real-world problems with innovative tech-enabled solutions.

“The core of 10k2Startup’s mission is to empower visionary founders by addressing funding barriers and providing essential mentorship,” said Julius Nkansah Owusu-Kyerematen. “We strategically invest based on a startup’s growth potential and market traction, aiming to amplify their impact and accelerate their journey to success.”

The initiative welcomes applications from industry-agnostic startups leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive groundbreaking solutions. Interested founders embodying qualities such as passion, tenacity, and strategic acumen are encouraged to apply by July 15, 2024. Shortlisted startups will be invited for a 30-minute pitch session by July 31, with funding decisions communicated within two weeks thereafter.
